Bad Omen

So the House version of the stimulus package passed, with zero (0) Republican votes. Similar partisanship is expected in the Senate.

Note to Obama: Gonna be a long 4 years. Especially if your "stimulus package" includes hundreds of millions for Head Start. How is that stimulus? You don't have to be a Republican to see the shennanigans afoot in the "stimulus package." $335 million to fight STD's? $20 billion for the Food Stamp program will create jobs how? $4.1 billion for preventative care medicine? We could save twice that if we just stopped providing free health care to illegal immigrants in California alone, think how much we'd save if we stopped providing free health care to illegal immigrants nationwide! Only, that goes against the liberal agenda.

I am a fan of Obama. I made it clear here that I voted for the man. However, that does not mean I have to like any of the Senate or House democrats, who are attempting to drive a wooden stake into the collective back of America in the hopes that the vampire Republicans will die.

Why is it that people are asking how the government can afford to fund this proposed stimulus package, but those voices were much more diminutive when the bailouts were in the making? The bailout certainly wasn't helping anyone in the long term, except maybe those who wanted to rake in tremendous bonuses consisting of taxpayer money.
